QUICK FACTS
  • One side of the nail file is made with textured Japanese paper, and the other with high-quality UK sponge.
  • Used for buffing, filing, and shaping nails.
  • Ideal for use on both fingernails and toenails.
  • Intended to smooth the nail surface or free edge of the nail.

COARSE GRIT 180 can be used to create the desired nail shape, remove surface ridges, and soften edges. It can also be used to buff off the top layer of gel polish during the removal process.

SOFT GRIT 220 grit is great for buffing and gentle filing, to remove surface ridges, smooth nail surface or free edge of nail, as well as remove debris after filing. Can be used to prep nails for gel polish application.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

When filing with grit 220: Starting from the corners of the nail’s free edge, file toward center of nail, moving solely in one direction. Use caution to create an even shape. DO NOT file in a back-and-forth motion, as this can damage nail, causing breakage and peeling.

When buffing with grit 180: Move nail file in a back-and-forth motion over surface area of nail that has ridges or a visibly uneven texture. Always buff nail before gel polish application.

Pro tip: the soft grit 220 can function as an exfoliator for the nail bed; buff along the sides and the base of the nail to remove cuticle buildup.
